Rutgers wins to give Vivian Stringer the 1,000th of her career
Tonight, with their win over Central Connecticut, Rutgers coach C. Vivian Stringer won her 1000th career win. She is the sixth NCAA Division I coach to reach that mark, and the first African-American.
She joins an elite group that includes Pat Summitt, Tara VanDerveer, Geno Auriemma and Sylvia Hatchell on the women's side.
Her wins are about the lives she's touched.
Letters from Dawn Staley and Carolyn Peck.
The New Jersey governor is proud.
