Anne Donovan passes away

After the shock, extreme sadness:

Hall of Famer and Olympic gold medalist Anne Donovan died today of congestive heart failure. She was 56.

Donovan was the Indiana Fever's first coach.

A New Jersey native, Donovan had a stellar playing and coaching career.

She was the first woman to coach a WNBA team to a championship: the Storm, in 2004.

She was a legend at ODU.

Pictures with this piece of her coaching the Charlotte Sting.

Anne Donovan through the years.

The Sun lost to the Mystics tonight, and then reflected on Donovan's passing.
