While we wait for the outcome of the Sparks-Stars game, currently in progress, there is plenty to digest.....

Team news:

Cynthia Cooper-Dyke was crucial to the early success of the WNBA.

The players of the month of May are Tina Charles for the East and Maya Moore for the West.

Stewart is the rookie of the month.

College player news:

Former Kentucky center Ivana Jakubcova has transferred to USC. At 6-6, she will be the tallest Trojan player since 1987.

Sarah Baer is leaving Bowling Green to attend DII Findlay and play both basketball and soccer.

College coach news:

Margaret Richards is Alabama A&M's new head coach.

Blanche Alverson joins New Mexico State as an assistant coach.

Micheal Scott Jr. is a new assistant coach at UAB.

Texas State has added Rodney Hill as an assistant coach.

Sacred Heart's new assistant coach is Bert DeSalvo.

Melissa Dunne is Loyola Maryland's new assistant coach.

Steve Harney is a new assistant coach at Dartmouth.

ETSU has two new assistant coaches.
