Rookies show out in matinee games

The Shock squeaked by the Stars, 76-75, behind the 30 points of Skylar Diggins. Rookie Odyssey Sims added 13 and rookie Theresa Plaisance, 11. Rookie Kayla McBride lead San Antonio with 17 points.

The Mystics topped the short-handed Fever, 80-63. Monique Currie lead Washington with 18 points, and Tianna Hawkins and rookie Bria Hartley each added 10. Rookie Natasha Howard lead Indiana with 14 points.
