Oh happy day:
EUGENE -- Paul Westhead, whose unconventional hiring in 2009 as Oregon women's basketball coach was intended to jump-start the program in his uptempo image but never got up to full speed, announced Tuesday that he will not return next season.
His contract expires March 31 and will not be renewed. The university announced that a national search for his replacement will begin soon.
This part is funny:
"At the time I will pursue other options in the basketball world," he said Tuesday, adding that his time at Oregon was a "nice experience."
"I don't think any of us have any sense of disappointment."
How out of touch can you be? Fans have been calling for his head for the last three years.
The only option he should pursue is retirement.
