scull, it's got nothing to do with the shoes - it's a marketing gimmick. It's about women staying low to the ground during play instead of standing straight up, making turns and cuts correctly, and keeping the hamstrings strong.
My theory is that we're seeing a resurgence of injuries as the level of play has been taken another three notches up. It's more intense and quick now, hence more people not taking their knee with them when they turn, etc.

I agree 1000%
its effing ridiculous how many women are getting hurt. what do you think, sass, do the change in shoes have anything to do with it?

thanks for the explanation, sass. sounds like its mechanics and proper training/coaching techniques.
